Yesterday was absolutely amazing. I woke up to the aroma of drying apples and tea and the day only got better. This was probably one of my most meaningful birthday celebrations ever.
Loki took the day off work, and after I finished working on comics, we embarked on a great adventure for my birthday. I visited my friend Roxanne. We spent hours thift store shopping and finding amazing things like an enormous honey jar, a new French press for Loki and, a hand-knit wool slouch sweater for me. We found excitement in mundane tasks such as grocery shopping. I stopped by Aveda for my free birthday sample product. We ate like crazy as we took advantage of free birthday meals. Mom gave me fruitcake and fudge as presents. It was so much fun.
Other gifts included news that VL’s OPM, Skaja, has now moved into a new house and notification that the funds necessary to finally get VAS Littlecrow out of debt finally arrived in the bank. An art commission that I patiently awaited arrived, along with a new driver’s license. As if that weren’t fantastic enough, Emily Rose wrote this absolutely lovely piece about my friendship with her. I received other wonderful gifts and cards as well. I felt very blessed.
